Company RSS Feeds

Locating a recent article on how a company uses RSS to provide information to employees or customers gave little results, unfortunately.  There is an older "article" that provides examples of financial companies which use RSS feeds to provide information to customers (it can be found here http://www.feedforall.com/finance-companies-use-rss.htm).  One of the most popular uses of RSS feeds in terms of finances is to notify people of rate changes.  Another popular use of the RSS feed in terms of financial companies is to provide stock market alerts, giving investors the ability to quickly respond to market trends.  The federal reserve even provides an RSS feed to provide updates on currency exchange rates for those that regularly travel abroad.  Finances are very important and time sensitive, so RSS feeds in that field make a lot of sense.
